Pros

General Manager is great, has lots of experience and a open door policy to address issues that might come up. Training is excellent, they want to make sure you are really comfortable driving a bus before they put you out there solo. The maintenance department does an excellent job on keeping the facilities and vehicles safe and clean. So far the transition to the new company TransDev has been seamless, from a driver’s perspective.

Cons

The cons are very minimal usually revolving around personalities.

Company is going downhill fast

Pros

Pay is higher here than the rest of the AV industry. One of the larger contractors in the industry with presence in many parts of the country. Work is 24 x 7 so there is the possibility of working different hours if that suits your lifestyle.

Cons

Aggressive cost cutting and downsizing going on right now, June 2023. No official layoffs, but they're trying to get rid of employees by making it tough to work there. Stricter rules to make it easier to fire workers or old rules that weren't enforced before are now being applied. Lots of managers and drivers have been fired for the flimsiest of excuses. Perks and supplies provided in the past have been taken away. They recently changed performance reviews from 6 months to 1 year, so you won't get a pay increase as often as before. There are lots of drivers who don't have much to do during their shift so it's obvious that downsizing is going to happen. Everyone is on edge because of the mass firings, which provides a break from the toxic culture that was prevalent before this period. They're not hiring much anyway.

Working for Transdev

Pros

Meaningful Impact: As a Paratransit Operator, I had the opportunity to provide transportation for individuals with mobility challenges. It felt rewarding to contribute to improving their quality of life and ensuring their safe and reliable transportation.

Cons

Communication: At times, communication between management and employees could be better. Clear and consistent communication channels would help in addressing any concerns or questions effectively. Workload: Paratransit operation can be demanding, especially during peak hours. There were instances when the workload felt overwhelming, requiring operators to manage their time efficiently.
