Paratransit Driver in the East Valley

Very professional and good transportation company. I enjoyed working for them when they operated the East Valley Paratransit Service from May of 2006 through June of 2012. Their senior management staff was a pleasure to work with in operating a very proficient and professional Paratransit service.

Cons

Veolia (Now Transdev) was not awarded the new contract to provide the service for reasons beyond their control. I really felt very good about the "team" of employee's we had working there from utility workers to the management staff. (Note: I did not know the current CEO when I worked at Veolia so I can't really rate him.)

Management cares to much about petty things, not much on major issues.

Cons

Lack of communication, management more interested in petty issues like how much time someone is logged online, road supervisors making less than those we supervised, backstabbing is a major issue, putting in long hours and working hard and not getting the recognition deserved. Salary exempt employees are treated as if we were hourly employees, and not being paid while on administrative leave despite federal regulations stating otherwise.

Cons

Transportation is a tough industry. They need to figure out how to last in this fast changing environment. Like any business, you must stay ahead of the curve.
