Pros

Steady Paycheck, Benefits and nearby public transportation

Cons

I worked for Transwestern full time as an Analyst at Miami Office. I have firsthand experience with both the Leasing and Investment Sales groups. My personal experience: This was the single worst job I’ve had in my entire career in commercial real estate. Over the last 5 years there have been over 5 Analysts to leave this position to pursue other opportunities. The Senior Managing Directors berate, verbally abuse their team members and provide no mentorship all while overworking and providing little support. I found the culture abusive with little to no regard for their analysts and associates. My opinon: If you a desperate for a paycheck then the job will suffice but be warned that if you want a fullfilling career I’d advise to stay away from Transwestern Miami. Good Luck.

Pros

Good group of young professionals that are encouraged to network and further education in their field.

Cons

No standardized systems or workflow across portfolios. Toxic relationship between property management and accounting department. Projects are not adequately staffed. There is not enough support from other departments and upper management.

Pros

Good culture and work life balance. Great incentives for accountants, jeans to work, work from home 1 day a week, summer early days, flexible work schedules.

Cons

Training is spotty and lacks structure. Medical premiums and deductibles are very high.
