Pros

excellent initial compensation and work/live balance

Cons

divas in senior management, low % comp increases, promotion based on tenure & relationships, and - perhaps most problematic - a continuously rising stock price that allows CEO to ignore material issues throughout enterprise

Pros

Ability to rotate to three rotations

Cons

You are not here to grow your career, you are here to work as an assistant. I have gained no professional skills from the program, but instead am ordered around to do the same type of work that is outsourced. The treatment of employees is incredibly toxic. Nobody has your back. The entire program will know everything about you even if it is confidential. Rotational managers constantly lie to improve their own ratings. You can do 100 things right but they will instantly report you to HR for simple things such as a typo in a draft, not even a final copy. Management will go behind your back and take drafts of things you work on that was never sent to them, and frame it as final. You are being rated by the program, not your rotation managers, who do not even understand Finance and are not doing your day to day job. They select favorites and the selection process is completely political. The rotation managers and program staff are all friends so they legitimately will all gang up on you and you can't do anything about it. The FLDP program sets you up for failure, unless you are related to one of the rotation managers. The communication is non-existent with program, they blatantly lie to you, then a month later they will tell you the opposite even if you have it written down. Every single activity you do with the program, you need to make sure you have everything documented, because they will use it against you. The three year rotation process is a joke. They make you pick your three, but multiple people have told me it is pre-decided. The Travelers FLDP Program is a joke. If you are interested in a Finance Program, go to The Hartford, it is significantly better.

Pros

Strong management, supportive with very good growth potential. Diverse and inclusive. Pay structure is fair and very competitive within the market space. Stable, industry leading. The job is both fulfilling and provides great opportunity to interact with clients, learn their various businesses, and provide support. The company hires very smart people.

Cons

Demanding, work flow is heavy throughout the year with little down time.
