Not the greatest place to work

Pros

- The offices are well located. - Staff are well trained and training courses are paid for (this is pretty much the only thing that is) - 5pm finish

Cons

- Incredibly tight fisted as far as entertaining staff is concerned. It's really quite shocking that a company based in the city doesn't provide more than 1 free drink at a Christmas party. Despite campaigns to change this I knew numerous people who left over this. Apparently this was done to keep things in line with the US offices but this is just ridiculous - Similar attitude regarding bonuses in the department I was working in at least. Very few staff got any, and it was mostly reserved for management. - A need to always have a member of staff not scoring highly enough in appraisals so that it looked like management were doing there jobs properly. This just bred favouritism and bullying within our department. - Nepotism. In the time I was there 2 children of directors were hired and 1 of an ex director (who was treated more favourably than others). They list nepotism as being against company policy but for some reason this gets ignored, despite what sticklers for rules they can be with junior employees.
