      Pros

      Better than average pay. Good people on the floor trying to do a tough job. I have made a lot of good friends.

      Cons

      The queen bee has an agenda. If you get in her way, she will destroy you. If you aren't one of the chosen, you are screwed.

      Too much work/too many protocols, not enough talented people

      Pros

      Most of the people that I work for/with are very knowledgeable about their craft.

      Cons

      Even though most of the people I work for/with are very knowledgeable, their hands are often tied by excessive workload demands and/or numerous protocol, procedures, red-tape, and intra-company divisions (all of which Travelers has over time built into its claims-handling operations), as well as the unwillingness or inability (or both) of senior management to allocate funds for hiring new people to help alleviate (at least) the workload demands.

      Pros

      The training received at Travelers is above the rest. They have a great way of making one feel confident and secure for a larger company.

      Cons

      Mid/Upper Management shifted and the expectation of the employee becomes unmanageable. Mid Management is motivated to progress employees based on bias and personal opinions and emotions and not based on merrit.
