Pros

It was great to be able to work remotely and the salary was competitive.

Cons

The role changed and I was expected to deliver things I was not hired for. I had a really bad experience and would not recommend working here.

Pros

In my experience Travelers is great for starting to build your career. There are a lot of good opportunities to get involved in the community. My coworkers are very supportive and my team members are great.

Cons

The highest level management is "old school" in their way of thinking, especially with regard to COVID safety. There is an push for people to be in the office, regardless of their ability to perform their job remotely. HR is slow to respond to requests.

Pros

Opportunities for growth. Decent pay. Pension plan. Upper management tends to know how to do all their subordinates jobs.

Cons

If you’re planning on starting or expanding your family anytime soon the parent leave is weak for the industry. Parental leave is only 20 days. If you’re less than a few years in your maximum PTO is 5 weeks (if you purchase 1 week). So this is 9 weeks of paid leave postpartum. If you want more time home, the only other options are to take leave of absence (unpaid) or short term disability. Leave of absence only guarantees your position to be held for 12 weeks. Overall the company has an old school vibe. They’re only just in the last few years adopting things like “dress for your day” aka casual dress code, open work spaces, hybrid work schedule (pre-covid).
