Pros

As a technologist, you'll get an opportunity to work directly, hands-on, with cutting edge software solutions. They've always been very aggressive in migrating off of legacy infrastructure, hardware and software as soon as is feasible.

Cons

There are two tracks - management and technical - and once you've established yourself as competent in the technical track, you'll never be considered for a move over to the management track, which is where the real career growth is.
