Miss the old Travelocity, before private investors took over Sabre. Epic Fail.

Pros

Colleagues are like family; immediate managers are fully supportive of work and goals, providing an excellent atmosphere for work/life balance; benefits are outstanding.

Cons

As they are owned by Sabre, Travelocity has received little support in the way of technology and operations, diminishing the company's ability to battle with the fierce OTA competition. Travelocity upper management is totally ineffective; communication is silo-ed among work groups, causing massive loss of revenue. Due to one bad decision after another and way too much corner-cutting, Sabre has given up on its supplier business and signed an agreement to work with Expedia for supply beginning 2014 (this is public record). Layoffs occurring now.

Great Work-Life Balance Flexible Encouragement to innovative thinkers

Cons

No growth available. It was difficult prior to the announcement to grow within the company, but now, since the announcement of the Expedia/Travelocity agreement there will be a large decrease in the Travelocity workforce.
