Pros

Good compensation and retirement benefits. Work life balance is good.

Cons

Employees are treated as if they are disposable. Very top heavy organization with a disconnected management team. Probably 1 manager per 3 employees but the cuts hit the analysts and benefits first. Also it's a dying business and obsolete business model. Members are leaving and none are joining. The departure cash is used to lower rates which then requires cuts when the money runs out. It's a downward spiral.

Pros

The people are incredible, some of the best individuals I have ever worked with. Generally everyone there wants to see you do good and they are willing to help you. I did like that they had multiple work schedule types that you could pick from (traditional 8 hour, four 10s, and four 9 hour days with a half day on Friday). I was able to work on so many incredible projects with unique challenges that really allowed me to grow.

Cons

They are slow to change, this can be seen by how many members have left the co-op because they were not able to have more renewable energy. They have a management top heavy structure that often causes confusion. The upward mobility is also lacking, they follow the old idea of you have to be in a position for a certain amount of time to move up higher as compared to rewarding people who do their jobs well.
