Decent hospital system

Pros

I’ve worked at a few of the hospital systems in the city and have to say I think TriHealth is one of the better ones. The benefits are relatively affordable as long as you’re willing to use TriHealth providers. Nursing has a well defined clinical ladder process and new grad onboarding process.

Cons

Pay is a little low to start because of the clinical ladder process. You have to be there a year before you can apply to advance and get the pay bump. That feels a bit…slimy…because all of the reasons I am eligible for advancement existed when I was hired, so why not just hire in at that level? PTO accrual is so slow. And short term disability is only 60% of your base pay so you also lose your critical care incentive and differentials, etc so it’s more like 40-50% of your pay, so you better hope you don’t need to be out for any period of time.
