Pros

You can negotiate competitive pay and hang out on the bench for a while or skate along and no one will come looking for you. There are a handful of good offshore engineers if you can be staffed on a project with one of them it's easy to manage.

Cons

Extremely poor management. The company promotes the CEO and other executives as industry leaders when it's more paid marketing. Very poor culture and lacking in transparency to the point where rumors of unethical practices circulate.

Pros

Management is very supportive while assigned to a project.

Cons

Once your client contract completes you typically go on unpaid furlough until you either get placed or let go. I guess you can't really blame them because, if there are no contracts available, they can't pay you.
