Pros

Company offers good benefits to full time employees

Cons

The environment was rather hostile and overtime was forced upon me when I was dealing with health problems and I was humiliated because I had to use a cane on some days.

Pros

It was nice to only have a handful of patients a day and no one looking over your shoulder. It was also pretty flexible with the hours during the day. I started around 8 and depending on where I had my last patient, sometimes it would be around 2 or 3 because I needed to be home by 6pm for my son.

Cons

The pay wasn't that great, the equipment was terrible, and they don't fix problems. I had faulty equipment for months before I was given anything that worked. So many patients had been overexposed because this company did not want to buy new equipment. I had to try so many times just to get images you could barely read. Plus it was my first job out of school so I had to learn a lot on my own. Also, the on-call schedule is crazy. I would have to drive for an hour and a half to take one image, drive an hour and a half back to my house, and then have to drive back out to the same place again because they decided they wanted images for another patient. I would not recommend this company unless you are desperate for a job and like to drive a lot. Oh, and during the winter you will have to drag your machine through snow and ice to get into houses where people are incapable of plowing. I have gotten stuck in a driveway before and had to have the patient's family help push my van out onto the road and use their cat litter for traction. I recommend bringing your own.
