Pros

They were pretty flexible with work life balance. They're headed in the right direction when it comes to safety. Customer service is good

Cons

Upper management is very deceptive. They will sale you promises and never deliver. They make reasons to get rid of veteran people and hire new people to pay them less. Document every conversation to cover yourself.

Pros

Local, home every night, off a lot of weekends. Easy to get time off and to get home for appointments. 9 paid holidays and a floating holiday. Its a great company to work for and they are really helpful. Nice and new equipment and good maintenance crew to keep it all up. Winter time pay guarantee.

Cons

Pay is load based and the load is based on weather, Some weeks you might only bring home $200 but they forget to tell you that. Insurance is high. Took away safety bonus and vacation and barely raised the pay to "make up for it" Checks vary too much to know if you'll be able to take a vacation or be able to pay your light bill next month. Needs a year round guarantee and an amount like other branches in SC..

Pros

The work is consistent, you will always have a job in trucking.

Cons

Zero professional development opportunities, you might see Trimac Academy & internships being promoted on LinkedIn, however from an internal perspective stay away. Opportunities and visibility is reserved for the Canadian sector. The Houston corporate office is the red-headed stepchild of the entire Trimac organization, there are no events or work culture programs. This company has been in operation for 75 years & is almost a billion dollar company, yet the company Christmas Party is luncheon on the first floor. No annual bonus, extremely high deductibles for even the best insurance plan they offer and high premiums especially if you have a family. Operating fully remote is possible and was in full effect during the pandemic. Due to micromanagement, zero trust & poor leadership all employees are in office. During my time with Trimac all, colleagues were searching for better opportunities. Pay attention to the high turnover rate. TRIMAC has rebranded their logo, their internal educational platform, & are aggressive in their acquisitions however they are far behind the times in operations. They utilize outdated technology for their drivers and dispatch tools, as well as caters to the grandfathered driver who will refuse to implement new practices.
