Pros

Great Company. Full of very smart people. I had the ability to do a number of different things. Very laid back.

Cons

Was laid off due to difficult market conditions, would've liked more notice than the 2 hours I was given. The declining market trend was visible for a number of quarters prior.

Not good for enterprise sales

Pros

401k match at 5%, quarterly profit sharing, stock options given for performance.

Cons

Trimble is an engineering company at its heart and so sales is not the tail that wags the dog. They like building hardware but buyers don't care about hardware, they don't even care about software any more. Buyers want you to pinpoint issues for them, show them the trends. Trimble is trying to morph beyond hardware but it is painful and you have organizations fighting each other so in the end sales suffers. Trimble grows by acquisition and there is no forward thinking vision.

Pros

The work is fun and exciting. Personally fulfilling.

Cons

Frustrating prescription medicine health benefit. Had some frustrating times with HR, but that could be the same for all large corporations.
