Aspiring tech company without the benefits
Pros
It's a huge company, product wise, and there are some really compelling hardware and software products, so you can feel like you are contributing something meaningful on many teams. There are many great people, trying to build good products. Trimble does offer some life/work flexibility as well, depending on your team.
Cons
In the past few years, there has been lots of transition, to make the company more software and subscription based, and to push aggressive growth goals, among other things. Often there is not good clarity from on upper management, but still a lot of pressure and stress to deliver, but this isn't seen or felt up the chain, so it's only growing. What doesn't grow are opportunities, very few people rise or grow. There are lateral movements, but few upward options. HR will cap your salary based on minimum market comparisons.
