The benefits are decent is the only pro.
Cons
No work-life balance depending on the department. Most jobs include network engineering will be on-site daily and not allowed to work remote. Lastly, on-call is a nightmare be prepare to be a walking zombie and cancel any plans, and looking at phone every few mins while on-call. Just be prepare to sit in the house paranoid. - understaffed IT departments - work-life balance 0% - on-call is brutal, don't plan anything and prepare to work consistently. - no bonus due to non-profit - measly 1-2% raises - engineering 0% work-life balance - on-site & no hybrid depending on department especially engineering.
