Pros

Was lucky to have nice colleagues. Small language teams have 9-5 working schedules. Apparently pays better than other CSA companies in Edinburgh

Cons

Apply for the same job in an another company like Trainline instead! First thing you need to understand is that this company is from China. So prepare for quantity over quality. So handling contacts as fast is possible over actually caring to solve a problem in one call to avoid future calls, you will be valued. This is how you might get lucky to get a promotion in combination with smooth talking to the right people. The management in Edinburgh is under a lot of pressure from China which trickles down to the workers. So a lot of promises and ideas but no delivery. No attention for qualitative sustainable optimization breeds an almost kafkaesque workplace. Also if you intend to work for big language teams do expect to work until 11h00 in the evening and weekends. Monthly schedule is never on time.

Pros

Great teams and very friendly environment. Some TL are very professional and probably should not be TL but something more.

Cons

Upper management sometimes does not care about the quality but only quantity. This is not what the company was about at first. Rota is all over the place. It does not make sense at all. you will have 5 weeks of late shift or weeks where you shift changes 3 times. This won't help the agents. If there is a procedure that works, they'll tear it down and leave the agents a bit on their own saying "Use your soft skills". That's leaving agents on their own. Promise of a position that then you will have to wait months to have it or sometimes "due to unforeseen circumstances" is not given.

Pros

None at al, they actually manipulated my previous review used my email, but knowing a little bit of cyber security, they will also be held accountable for that.

Cons

Having worked at Trip.com, one of the most frustrating issues is **bias in promotions and opportunities**. Career advancement seems more influenced by personal connections than actual performance. Dedicated employees are often overlooked, while certain individuals receive preferential treatment, leading to a work environment where effort is undervalued. Another significant problem is the company’s **poor handling of employee concerns**. The HR department fails to provide meaningful support when issues arise, frequently dismissing complaints about favoritism, workload distribution, and workplace ethics. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns, management tends to ignore them, leaving employees feeling unheard. **Lack of transparency** is another major drawback. Decisions affecting staff are often made without clear communication or input, resulting in uncertainty and instability. Employees are frequently left in the dark, struggling with unclear expectations and sudden changes. Lastly, **career progression is severely restricted**. Professional growth feels unattainable unless you’re part of the favored group, making merit-based advancement nearly impossible. Those who work hard but aren’t within the right networks find themselves stuck with limited opportunities. Overall, my experience at Trip.com was disappointing. If fairness, professional integrity, and career development matter to you, I strongly advise researching thoroughly and speaking with past employees before considering a role.
