Pros

As a current employee of Trip.com I do enjoy the feeling of starting every day with a clear vision of what it needs to be accomplished and knowing that I will have the support needed to meet the targets. The numerous opportunities the company offers to its employees, in terms of progression and also in terms of understanding of each person's struggles and particularities, is one of the most attractive points it has in order to retain staff.

Cons

The tasks can be a bit overwhelming in terms of lack of time or real training to accomplish them. Management is aware of this and so the patience and the demands are shown in equal measure. Being a global company, the time difference in between sites can be an obstacle in the road on a daily basis and this can lead to frustration for many agents. The perks and benefits that the company offers are still an enigma for a big part of the staff even months after their training so more transparency and effective communication is needed. At the same time, more mandatory training about office etiquette, diversity, inclusivity and security should be added at the beginning of the new staff journey. Salary is good but it could be better considering the amount of time the staff is actually available for the company and how many skills, tasks and demands are requested that are not written on any contract.

Pros

The office is nice and modern and the trainers are nice. You will work with people from lots of different countries

Cons

As soon as your training ends, the respect ends. You'll meet managers who are petty, malicious and disrespectful. Schedules are changed without consent and with zero concern about how that affects people's plans. False accusations are thrown around and then you are denied holidays that you have the right to take in your contract based on these lies. You get called into an office and given warnings for being 7 minutes late or not understanding which of two the various contradictory schedules you were meant to follow. A lot of people that joined recently have been subjected to a bait and switch where they joined in one role and then as soon as they finished training they were told that actually they had been selected to do another much more difficult and stressful job (with no extra pay, of course). Most of the people there look tired and worn out.
