Pros

Good company with good colleagues and benefits.

Cons

Favoritism from some team lead is real leading to decreased morale and unhealthy competition among colleagues in the team.

Pros

Benefits are pretty decent and salary is competitive. Colleagues are generally welcoming and there’s effort put in by HR to organise activities.

Cons

Experience highly depends on your manager and team culture. Some are hands off, and you are left to your own devices in an overseas office (boss in HQ), while others have more demanding bosses, toxic ones occasionally spotted. Meetings with HQ are in Chinese and documentation too, which makes it hard if you don’t have a good grasp.

Pros

I’ve worked at Trip.com for nearly 6 years, and there is a very good reason for that. The people at Trip.com make the job worth it. The managers, co-workers, products, benefits, etc. make the job worth it. I’ve progressed to different departments due to the company’s opportunities as it regularly promotes staff. For example, we recently hired multiple new QCs and a new Knowledge Analyst internally. The salary is great. The office management are approachable. There are plenty of reasons to enjoy working here, For new staff, we have four big departments to work for which is exciting and something I wish I had to a choice to decide between when I first joined the company!

Cons

For some levels, the salary is not high enough. This needs to be examined, but unfortunately, salary reviews come once a year and it’s decided by HQ. Some OPs and higher managers micro manage based on performance and due to this, there is not an interpersonal culture where agents can build strong with their TLs in some cases. Thus causing burnout and attrition.
