Pros

It gives you some insights into the tech industry and teaches you a lot of ‘don’ts’

Cons

Just stay away. They come with a lot of baggage.

Pros

Flexible schedules, a caring work environment, and the opportunity to really make a difference! I’ve worked at Trivera for 2+ years and have never been at a place where my work is so appreciated and valued. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and it hurts to see someone attack the owners in such a malicious and untruthful way. We have several employees who have been here for more than 2 years, so 100% turnover is mathematically impossible. Our owners are the most caring and hard-working people I’ve ever met. Egos? Nope. Sexist? Never. (We have more women than men here.) If you want to work with a team of people who actually work like a team, this is the place for you. If you want to smile on Monday and end each Friday laughing at happy hour with your colleagues and friends, this is the place for you. If you want to work somewhere where your intelligence is valued and you work with really smart people who bring a variety of viewpoints to client challenges in order to get the best possible result, this is the place for you. If you want to feel like you have work/life balance, like your family matters, and like your ideas matter, this is the place for you. We can rearrange our schedules to fit in doctor appointments, parent teacher conferences, and the never-ending cycle of orthodontist appointments. We work from home when the cable guy says he’ll show up sometime between now and never. When my back was bothering me, one of the owners spent an entire day researching new chairs to help make it better (and then bought them for anyone who wanted one). I’ve had several bad jobs and know what it’s like to work somewhere truly awful. Trivera is not that place. I hope anyone reading the negative reviews can recognize that they are mean-spirited and false. This is a great place to work!

Cons

As other reviewers have mentioned, it would be nice to have a 401(k). But I should mention that the owners work really hard at providing a good health insurance policy, which saves me enough money that I can save on my own. As the bad reviews demonstrate, one of the biggest faults of the owners is they are literally too kind! There have been a few times where a bad seed employee has been allowed to stay too long while they tried and tried to help him or her improve. Unfortunately, that seems to have led to feelings of entitlement and a skewed perspective on the former employee regarding their rights as a low-performing “team” member. I know the owners are working to correct this and have really improved their ability to nip problems in the bud, which has only helped the rest of the team feel even better about how awesome Trivera is as an employer.

Pros

Trivera's management empowers its staff. If you work hard and deliver, they will elevate you as an asset. For a smaller agency, they are willing to take risks but know when to pivot if the risk doesn't pay off. You will learn a lot working in this fast-paced environment with an awesome team. The camaraderie here is special and manifests in well-managed, high-quality projects. I personally grew a lot in my role, both professionally and personally.

Cons

This is a project-based shop, and that works for them. But it means a lot of balls are in the air and you have many clients to manage. The stakes are high for the sales reps. And like anywhere, scope creep happens. It can be an intense place to work for better or for worse.

Thanks for the kind words. You know that, unlike a lot of agencies, because we encourage a life-work balance that doesn't require our team to work evenings or weekends, we have to work hard when we're here. ;) We have been able to successfully transition from project work to annual retained service contracts. That has enabled us to do a better job of predicting the resources necessary to manage our responsibilities and have fewer balls in the air. :)
