Pros

I have worked for CWI as a DSP for over a year now. When I first started, I felt there was very little support from my supervisor, and I felt the program was very unorganized. On July 1st there was a company reorganization which focussed on the surveys that we, the DSPs had provided. I was suprised that CWI actually listened to what we had to say. We now have amazing support from our supervisors and management. I know change takes time, however, it's nice to see a company actually listens to what you have to say. I was planning on quitting prior to the re-org. I am so glad I didn't! I love the clients and their families! They deserve the best life we can offer!

Cons

Negative talk from those who do not want to see change. They would rather be apart of the problem, then the solution. Because of this negativity, I have to work overtime because the DSP's have a tendency to 'back bite' and not support each other. I know the word is getting out about the changes, I just felt like this was a good avenue for me to vent, and let everyone know that the negative feedback posted is by those who would be unhappy with any job. I just feel bad those employees are not thinking of our clients. I am excited to see new people getting hired which should help me not have so much overtime. Crossroads of Western Iowa is wonderful place to work. Crossroads of Western Iowa cares for the clients they serve as well as their employees. We have a lot employees who have worked at Crossroads of Western Iowa for over twenty years.
