      Flexible hours and supervisor is great.

      Cons

      Pay is pathetically low. If minimum wage was lower, they would lower the pay.

      Pros

      Troy is small enough that students receive personalized instruction from professors and are strongly mentored during their time on campus.

      Cons

      The administration has aspirations to move the University into an R2 position, but during my time there the pathways to making research a meaningful component of faculty duties did appear clear to the upper administration. The impression: they want the R2 designation but do not really value research.
