Pros

As a professor, you have a lot more freedom to pursue your own kind of research, without having to work for a subpar institution in exchange for that freedom.

Cons

Your work-life balance depends heavily on your location. The Alabama campus locations are great, but if you work at one of the many sites around the world, you have to fight pretty hard to keep the administrative hierarchy from overloading you with work.

Pros

to fend off starvation, they have this 'family' attitude, but it is FAR from it. There are certain persons that have never worked for another College and Univ, so they have NO idea that they are not within the professional 'Norm'.

Cons

management has NO idea that moral is so low that EVERYONE is looking for other jobs. ALSO the need to move into the information age is WAY overdue. The lack in technical skill is most apparent in the fact that the student computers are older than my 80 year old grandmothers!

Really nothing. Only plus is the Dean who is quite good, but is very limited in what he is able to do.

Cons

Everything. Owned and run by sri lanki who is never there. very racist organization that only caters to hindus. Pay is terrible and once hired you are trapped with them through your work visa. They dont teach. Only cover 2 chapters in an entire semester per course! Its outstanding what these kids learn. Teachers dont care and neither do students. Grades are altered to show progress. They are all lies. All professors change students grades and allow them to cheat on exams. Stay away from Sharjah College that is now Troy University, Sharjah Campus.
