Pros

The culture at this company is very supportive and has a family feel. The employees at this organization provided a great onboarding experience. A week of training and there are online courses for continued training.

Cons

It's a very meeting-heavy organization.

I am delighted to read such positive feedback. As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you know just how important it is to make employees feel welcome and supported. What I would say about meetings is to challenge those around you to do things differently. You’ve been here for less than a year – keep that perspective. Speak up to your peers, your manager, your leaders (me included) when you see things that could or should change. You will always have my support to do so. I would also encourage you to stop in or contact me at any time to share perspectives and ideas how we can be even more effective with our time and meetings. Linda Nedelcoff, SVP, HR

Pros

Great benefits, cafeteria on site with decent food, aesthetically pleasing campus. I think the experience there may vary quite a bit depending on which department or "business unit" you're in

Cons

Useless tasks, beauracratic paper pushing, lack of focus, changing things up too often and too quickly for any real noticeable difference to develop, doesn't care at all about harassment and violates their own policies. They also have a strange way of shuffling people around to different roles without regard for the actual employee's plans, goals or sometimes even area of expertise. People often couldn't define their role or even recall the name of their position when asked. A lot of favouritism, petty politics. No work life balance.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s clear your experience working with us was more negative than positive, and I’m sorry for that. The last few years have been a period of significant – and frequent – change here and I know that can sometimes be hard on people. But change is a necessary part of a forward-looking company. Our organization has been a market leader for generations, and to remain strong for generations to come, we must continually evolve and improve. Even in times of change, there are some vital constants. For us, that includes our commitment to our employees. It concerns me greatly that you mention harassment and a violation of our own policies and while I understand you no longer work for us, I would welcome the opportunity to better understand your concerns. We can’t address problems we don’t know about. I unequivocally do care about employee welfare and will not tolerate harassment in the workplace. Please do contact me either via our switchboard or directly via my work email: linda.nedelcoff@cunamutual.com. Linda Nedelcoff, SVP, HR
