      Pros

      -Offers both a 401(k) and a pension - almost unheard of in this time. -Very good ongoing education sessions. Both via online catalog and speakers, there are great opportunities to increase your knowledge about CUNA Mutual's operations and general industry topics. -Great location, and I found my coworkers to be very helpful.

      Cons

      - Without the "cost management" exercises, I'd rate this company much higher. I certainly didn't like the prospect of spending the next three years wondering if I'd be cut. - Most non-management positions are unionized. That's neither a pro nor a con, but very important to know. - So, so many layers of management.

      One of the biggest companies to work for in Madison.

      Cons

      Health plan is the worst that I have ever seen, very expensive with high deductible managed by amateur company Negative morale due to aggressive expense cuts

      Competitive pay, cost effective high deductible health plan, seasoned and professional coworkers, and flexibility to work from home.

      Cons

      Clueless disorganized and green management working through endless cost cutting strategies and impossible growth expectations. Don't expect to have a life for the next few years while they work through it.
