Pros

I enjoyed my time at Truepill while it lasted, and the baseline pay was pretty good.

Cons

Was laid off just a few months after joining Truepill. Cryptic, 15 minutes meetings were put on calendars the night before. My manager looked like a hostage reading from a script as his boss looked on, barely paying attention. Per a public statement issued by the CEO, after years of "growing top line revenue," the company must now chart a "path to profitability." Apparently, this new vision came to Sid all of a sudden and all at once, as another new hire was laid off in the same week they started. Take the work if you can get it, but keep in mind that you owe this company nothing and do not stop applying for roles elsewhere. You are expendable and at risk of being laid off from the moment you sign your offer.

Inconsistent hours/mandatory OT/poor management

Pros

Remote, systems are user friendly

Cons

Things change by the hour. You can be working 12-9 then they decide they want you to work 8-5 the very next day with no real communication. I am not sure if there is a strategic team that works to look ahead at possible business issues because there are many. Mandatory OT was implemented many times. Schedules have changed over 6 times in a year. Hired many people to let them go 2 months later without a real reason or warning.

Do not work here!

Pros

The only pro here I would say is working from home. But don’t expect to have a life outside of work because their sole culture is money over anyone and that includes employees and customers

Cons

Downsides of working here? Where do I begin? Toxic management from all departments, if you want your mental health to deteriorate, this is the place for you. No respect or consideration for your personal life outside of work. I have never worked somewhere with such incompetent management who are so bad at their job. There’s no plan, they don’t listen to feedback, they expect you to cover up their mistakes and trust me it’s a lot. They have no regards for customers, it’s money over everything. If you shop from the optum store, Truepill is the one shipping or at least supposed to be shipping things out because shipments go missing from the warehouse often and the customer team is also Truepill. And it’s trash. Unless you absolutely hate your life, don’t waste your time here.
