      Horrible pay at every level; no 401k match; no way to grow; lack of common sense at every level; open seating office, which prevents serious work getting done

I am glad to hear that you did enjoy our pet-friendly office, benefits package and work-life balance, as those are things that we are proud to provide as an employer. That being said, it sounds like your experience working at Trupanion had some frustrations when it came to compensation and 401k matching. We are actively working to update our compensation structure and we have brought on a new team member who is focused on compensation analysis. We are also exploring offering 401k matching to our benefits package in the future.
