Pros
It is a great place to learn how to be a teller or manager. Being a teller at this company is very easy and perfect for a college student looking for a job. The customers are always a pleasure to talk to and service. The company does pride itself in its customer service towards its customers.
Cons
Trustco does not pay the tellers and the managers what they are worth. The hours are long and there always seems to be a shortage in the staff. It has a very high turn around rate. They just can't seem to keep their employees. The managers are required to do more than managers that are at other banks. Other banks have several experts to do certain positions at the branch level. The salary for a manager at Trustco is very low for the amount of workload and requirements that is expected of them.
