Pros

free parking- at some branches; not much else

Cons

5 days off a month including Sundays and 1 Saturday because understaffed- was told to find coverage, but not in charge of hiring/firing or schedules;- Administration was in charge of schedules and it would change several times a week, after they would post a schedule at 5:30pm on a Friday... making it impossible to have a life outside of the bank. tellers would get a day off during the week, but never the same day/hours weekly -so it was impossible to arrange for family life or kids carpool situations. they Bounced us around from branch to branch because they were short staffed- and then blamed the managers for not following up on mortgages. empty promises of being home based to 1 branch (which you were hired for, only to find you were just "filling in" for a week or month or more 1.5 hours away,,, A 2-on 1-off Saturday schedule made for 1 Saturday off a month... And then wrote you up if you had overtime, but wouldn't let you leave early- or come in late due to lack of employees. Employees are miserable. Management is trickle down and quick to blame others for their errors. They played good-cop/bad-cop head games with you- if you said something about your situation, (like traveling long distances to cover branches in different counties, but not paying for the extended travel time; or lack of employees and then working every Saturday and expected to attend weekend events too) one would apologize and and say they would make it right... that would last 2 weeks and the other would come in and write you up for poor attitude. You would threaten by write ups, and then no raises... finally left, no exit interview. left 5 weeks of sick and vacation time unused because they would never approve a vacation time; and I thought I would have gotten paid for all or part of it per my handbook from when I started- but they updated the handbook and neglected to tell me about it... NOTE to any future or current employee, use ALL your sick and vacation before you leave, and skip the 2week notice, especially if you have another job lined up. ... no matter how many goals I made for a branch they denied me the branch bonus because it wasn't my "home branch" they also denied raises because on my anniversary hire date- the date was your last promotion date; on the promotion anniversary, it was your hire date... in short RUN! other banks pay much more and value you as an employee... so valued, employees got a whopping $15 (why bother?!) gift card to a grocery store at the holidays, to a store that wasn't known to be near you... but lets not forget the memo that got passed to us, "be sure to send a thank you note to Mr. McCormick for his generosity; he did not have to do this, and how fortunate you are to be part of his team"- meanwhile the CEO-McCormick rakes in a $3million+ annual salary... your role is to make a multi-millionaire a bigger multi-millionaire. And if they keep you dumb, you will continue their efforts without complaint, while they tell you how wonderful and fair they are.

Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door for banking. I recommend getting a mentor within the company, and staying connected with them.

Cons

Overworked, no work like balance, and low pay compared to other banks
