Pros

Get all the training you can and then apply to other local banks. They will pay you more!

Cons

Much of the upper management has no financial background or education. They know the bank product very well, but outside of that, the basic concepts of markets and finance is not there. Also tell her turnover is ridiculous.

They pay branch employees the minimum amount possible and make them work as much as possible while figuring out ways to avoid paying OT. Awful upper management. Horrible HR. No communication.

The people you work with are nice and the environment is friendly and productive. Management is approachable and supportive.

Cons

You will be expected to work many extra hours. There is no work-life balance at all. It's all Trustco all the time. Unfortunately, the hourly pay is less than the norm even for an area that trends less than average overall in any pay category, and the overtime is the only thing that evens that out...somewhat. So you can have any kind of life at all...or you can work at Trustco. You can't have both.
