Thanks for your review. TUFF SHED values feedback from our employees; it gives us a chance to learn and improve. We’re pleased that you noted some of our employee benefits, including PTO and 401K. Since you joined us, we now offer healthcare benefits after one month. Like most sales jobs, we do require weekend and holiday work; this is a condition upon job offer. That said, our Sales Design Consultants have the opportunity to earn a very competitive commission. For SDCs working with us for more than a year, the average pay is more than $50,000 annually. And the top 15% average more than $65,000 – with some topping $100,000. SDCs are the face of our company and we have high expectations. We want our customers to have an excellent experience. We strongly urge you to speak with your General Manager or Regional Sales Manager about the issues you noted in your review. We want all of our employees to be happy and successful, and will work to address your concerns promptly.

Pros

they do listen. My Regional Sales Manager is always asking what is going well and also what I would improve. A few of my ideas have gone up to the top. I'm proud of the product we sell. I like my managers. The benefits are pretty good. They have a 401K plan that doesn't have umpteen years to vest - it's immediate. When corporate upper people come to visit - they listen and talk to you like you're a real person.

Cons

Some companies have commission plans that award the top 5% with even more commission. they should look at that.

Pros

No weekends. Benefits are fair (as long as you stay within the allotted allowance given). NON management employees are actually decent people.

Cons

GM's get away with neglecting their store.Sadly my store went without toilet paper, hand soap, working drills, sharp saw blades (on tables) for MONTHS.The GM voiced not wanting to spend money to ammend obvious details that go into a proper working environment.Employees were not respected and were constantly teased and made fun of. Zero opportunity for growth; no promotions and you had to fight tooth and nail to get even a .50 cent raise.Employees expected to do tasks outside of their job description or they "face the consequences" (a.k.a. "get laid off" with no job attachment to return the next working cycle). Any complaints or voiced concerns fall on deaf ears unless youre a whiney customer, and actually worked against you as an employee.
