Pros

ESOP (if you can last 5 years) Mileage 401k match Some scheduling freedom

Cons

High turnover of all local positions. Most people have been in position less than a year. 7 managers in 7 years Haven't received an annual performance review in years Regional and national management are oblivious to how to do the job. Company did a mass title demotion from managers (ASM) to specialists (ASDS) Commission only Continue to hire unqualified Home Depot management that have no manufacturing or sales experience Creating new local management positions to micro manage sales reps Increasing the quantity of weekend hours required Take away high performing accounts that you built therefore decreasing your commissions Dependant on understaffed Home Depot to generate sales leads Most expensive product on the market Installers are third party and not always dependable Manufacturing plant employees tend to be low skill and put out subpar product Low quality new hire program, so it's probably going to take you 6 months to figure out the position Make you create fake facebook accounts to sell online Weekly conference calls that provide no new information and add no value No cold calls, but once you have a customers information they want you to keep calling for up to 2 years Clearly plans to decrease future sales force through more automation. Wouldn't be surprised to see an offshore call center created
