      Pros

      Easy to find work life balance with all the time off. If you have kids or significant other looking to take classes then TCC offers great education benefits.

      Cons

      Pay is so low it doesn't even register on sites like Salary.com. Virtually no budget. High resistance to even minor changes, nearly impossible to get things done.

      Academia and smart people are in a few niches of this institution. Being around students and helping people change their lives is fun.

      Cons

      If you rock the boat, you will pay. The only way to advance is to be selected or mentored by executive administration.

      Pros

      The benefits are outstanding, it is one of the few employers left with good benefits. The pay is also very fair. I felt like the paid vacation and holidays were just so much, I mean spring break, thanksgiving and christmas (two weeks) and that's for regular employees not even professors! You will definitely be able to have a life outside the office.

      Cons

      lack of communication and guidance. They only work four days a week in the summer so if you are a hard worker it is hard to get things done. There is a lot of bureaucracy that can be hard to navigate to get things done as well. Basically, it takes a week or two to get anything that requires more than you.
