Pros

Bowling ally, coffee, meetings are fun

Cons

Micro managing, pay was not what it was advertised as, bonuses don’t make a dent, they change policies a lot and added new requirement for bonuses. Very high turn over rate. They make awful products

Pros

-Benefits are great if you have had no benefits previously, aggressive 401k plan and decent health care plans. -Steady work but this is not a creative photo job, you will only shoot product on a white backdrop. (all editing is outsourced you will likely do none of that.) -Free Coffee everyday. -Hours are 7:30-4 which is good to beat the traffic. -The experience here will help you get more advanced photo opportunities within the corporate world if you develop other lucrative skills. (You will not advance with this job alone, it is pretty much just a title but you barely need camera knowledge to perform the job.)

Cons

(Disclaimer, the photo/video team is hourly and most salary department employees actually get treated very well here.) -Management created a lot of policies that seemed to demotivate the whole team. They treat this department like a group of children and they have to keep tabs on you at all times. -There is a TV in the director's office with live cameras so they can see what you are doing at all times. -They boast great pay but (especially in photo) you will have to work very hard physically (you're on your feet 8 hours a day) to hit those numbers and if someone goes on vacation prepare to lose your bonus. (keep in mind that the bonus is taxed at a 40% rate so on paper you make a lot, but your actual take home is below industry standard.) -The temperature in the studio is seldom below 80 degrees, (yes even in the winter) -Growth is available but not for everyone, only to those that are willing to put up with the downsides of the job. You will thrive here if you are a "yes-man." -A day in the life here is 40% warehouse work, 40% mechanic work, 20% photography (which can be a pro if you are into that.)
