Pros

Great benefits. Has the feeling of 90s .com startups. Lovely free snack room and other creature comforts.

Cons

Seems like a lot of fun at first. Terrible training. The idea of the company culture is great in theory, but the reality does not pan out. There are a lot of great people in the company, but the bad apples are truly rotten and infecting everything around them. Everything is made more stressful than it needs to be.

Pros

Co-workers we’re great. Company events were fun

Cons

Ruthless lay off- no severance, on last day of the month so insurance ended immediately, didn’t get the extra month of vesting. So much focus on winning awards for great place to work rather than focusing on becoming that place

Pros

Lunch on Thursdays, stocked with snacks and drinks, good insurance (lots of choices)

Cons

I left a major insurance company to try handling claims at Turo. But Turo is not an insurance company and I was not investigating losses and helping people get back to pre-loss conditions. I was honoring Protection Plans which 99% of the time didn't cover anything anyways so the Renter was paying 100% out of pocket PLUS a fee just because the claim was filed. I wasn't determining liability or setting up rentals, I was comparing before and after pictures and charing these poor renters hundreds or thousands of dollars for little dings or scratches to the rim or underneath the bumper where you couldn't even see. And Turo had a phrase when I was working there "ABC - Always Be Chargin!" That is the kind of company the are. I had renters crying to me on the phone swearing they didn't cause the damage. And the owners have a 24 hour gap in which to take pics and turn in a claim. A lot can happen to a car in 24 hours when the renters don't even have possession of it. So instead of helping people I was hurting them. And it felt awful. Worst job I've ever had. Oh, and don't use water bottles because that creates waste. But you can have all of the canned soda, red bull, or individually wrapped snacks that you want!
