Pros

I love that I can work when I want and for how long I want. I don't need to schedule hours ahead of time (though can if I want). I can tutor as a "floater" and if a baby wakes up crying I just log off. I can tutor for 30minutes of 3 hours. Although I am a certified teacher you don't have to be. You can have a set amount of college classes and pass tests for each subject you wish to tutor. Also you have a mentor who's very easy to reach out to to answer questions and give feedback. I like how as you progress with the company the mentors back away though so you don't feel like management is breathing down your neck.

Cons

Slow summers, so pay is only steady in the school year. Tax wise you're considered an independent contractor so taxes aren't withheld during the year so you can end up in April owing taxes. You really can't have this be your full-time job, but it's wonderful, flexible extra side income.
