Pros

If you like to tutor and you can't get enough of it, then this place is great. Scheduling is more flexible than most places you'd work. It could be rewarding if it has been a good shift and the students have been great (and it could go the other way around as well).

Cons

I can affirm that the review “Too Much Criticism and Slow Advancement” is very accurate and I agree with it. I'm not a ranter because I do get pretty good ratings, and I've been tutoring for a year now, but just because I'm doing my job well, it doesn't mean the job itself is awesome. Additional things that may not have been mentioned: Yes, I totally agree that the management (called "mentors"... but they really act as if they're your boss) criticize you a lot and nitpick even though your ratings are already fantastic. I don't understand why they'd pick a sessions in which the student gave you good ratings and very positive comments and then criticize you for those. The management is extremely whimsical and especially since they switch mentors so often, it's almost impossible to please them. *Sigh* the dilemma of whether to give answers away (or many other things that students will demand, like going overtime and they'd rant) to avoid getting a bad rating and risk being reprimanded by your boss.
