Not Worth It

Pros

None, really, except for the fact that you're not stuck in one place all day.

Cons

Where do I start? First of all, most of the job descriptions state that cleaners will make about $12 an hour. That's a lie. You work on a commission, only receiving a small percentage of what the customer is charged. The customers are also encouraged to rate the cleaning on a scale from 1 to 10. If you receive a score of anything less than a ten, your 20% commission is reduced and you lose money. So, even if you are a hard worker, if you are paired with someone who is lazy and likes to cut corners, you will lose money. The only breaks you get are on the car rides between jobs, and you're lucky if you have the time to stop somewhere and scarf down some lunch. Managers do not check out new client's homes, so you never know what you'll be walking into. If you only have a couple of hours to clean a home and it takes you four or five exhausting yourself cleaning a disgusting home, you lose money because you earn less per hour the longer it takes. You get paid the same percentage regardless of the time it takes to clean. You might also get the added joy of getting your tips stolen if the customer pays by credit card. You'll never know if you got a tip from a credit card because there is no breakdown of exactly what you make on your check stub. I could go on and on, there are SO many reasons not to work for this company, but this is review is turning into a novel.

No benefits. Minimum Commission. Confusing days. Pay is deducted for missing work even if it's excused.
