U-GRO IS Great

Pros

U-GRO provides great service to its families with caring staff. U-GRO has good benefits for its staff including 2 full day trainings every year that we get paid for and we get our training hours through engaging fun classes.

Cons

I really don't have cons at this time. You have to drive in the snow because we rarely close.

Pros

I loved the children. they were the best part of the job. you do get some small bonuses like $25 gift cards for perfect attendance and bonuses from stars if you qualify. the schools themselves are pretty to look at.

Cons

stressful environment. not due to kids but due to staffing issues (short staffed or management problems). huge turnover like others have posted. They are always hiring. if you treat people nicely you wont have these problems. if people are treated fairly and compensated with fair wages, this wouldn't be an issue either. People with degrees are working for low wages. centers are short staffed and have to borrow from other centers. paying out of pocket often for activities in the classroom when your wages arent that great to begin with. Lots of new staff and often.

Pros

The support through corporate, teaching staff and management is amazing and comforting. The activities that you get to create and do with the children leads to a fantastic learning and teaching environment. The benefits through the company are great.

Cons

Not all locations are equipped with gross motor rooms or indoor play areas. The supplies and activities for students could be aligned and refreshed each year, or season, to meet the needs of the monthly theme/seasons. The amount of pay could be higher to better meet the needs of life outside work.
