Pros

I have been an employee with U-GRO for 5 years now. I love working with the children and getting to know and work with the families. I like how my co-workers and I work together as a team. I also like our on going continuing professional development.

Cons

One thing that has been a learning process for me is not getting all of my vacation time all in one balance. Instead we accrue our vacation time during each pay period.

Pros

I am fairly new to U-GRO. Being in the Early Childhood Education field for many years and having worked for other companies, it is refreshing to be with a company that cares about their employees. They offer extra incentives for their employees along with the benefits they offer. The company actually cares about the children and the classrooms and not just making a profit.

Cons

I have no complaints at this time. My experience, thus far, has been a positive one.

Pros

U-Gro encourages professional development and growth. Employees attend mandatory training to refresh skills and learn new ways of teaching/thinking. They offer great health benefits to employees, as well as childcare discounts. The best part of working here is being able to see children grow and apply what you have taught them. It also gives you an opportunity to grow relationships with families.

Cons

The pay leaves much to be desired. I was offered much less than what I was originally asking. The center tries to stay open, even in bad weather, which can make for a difficult drive to work.
