      Pros

      Real potential for future, one of the last real banks out there without fingers in every pie. Conservative but that is not a bad thing these days

      Cons

      Growing pangs are now being felt, loosing the thing that made the bank great across the region by trying all of the failed ideas other regional banks have done. It is way to late to follow at this point and it looks crazy.

      Pros

      Endless opportunities for those willing to go where the work is. Very well run company overall. Benefits are too numerous to name; health plan costs are average. The company believes strongly in paying for performance, but only in areas with clear, objective ways to measure performance (branch, other sales positions). The high standards of management are exemplefied by the company's recent performance compared to peers who indulged in the sub-prime mortgage business.

      Cons

      Non-revenue producing areas are underfunded, employees underpayed for skill/education level. Company's focus on reducing costs over the last ten years has resulted in substandard equipment, facilities for employees in non-customer facing areas. The large size of the company makes it hard to advance beyond a certain point without relocating.

      US Bancorp--Great intentions but not always the best execution!

      Pros

      Very strong financial institution that made it thru the sub-prime scares with out many problems. Good reputation and excellent upper management. Great training and strong core business model.

      Cons

      Company lacks in good technology and often lags the competition in innovation. Often zero or limited advertising to help support the retail sales environment. Many facilities are older and require remodeling.
