Pros

EF is full of intelligent, thoughtful (and funny) staff truly passionate about what they do. People work hard but the foundation prides itself on retaining a great work/life balance. Upper management is committed to improving workflows and quality of day-to-day . For a junior staffer, the exposure to energy issues both nationally and in states is first rate.

Cons

Little to no upward mobility for junior staff, though there are varying levels of efforts to help with professional development.

Pros

The people are wonderful, and it's a friendly, supportive work environment. Staff members are very smart, and passionate about the mission of the org. Benefits are fantastic, and work/life balance is a priority.

Cons

For the non-senior level program positions, there's really no room to advance within the organization. It's emphasized that this is a position to gain good experience, and either pursue further education or move on to a different organization.

Pros

Excellent founding principles, important work, smart and friendly staff. It's vert clear what your job duties are and there is a good work culture and life balance.

Cons

There can be a lot of busy work and it can take a long time for things to change. Even though staff can have input, it doesn't always feel like the input impacts the management's decisions.
