Pros

-Working with other Agencies / Networking -After 3 years you can receive tenure - If you can stomach the Cons then it can be a nice little job.

Cons

- Managers are incompetent - Co workers can be lazy and incompetent - Theres no incentive not to be lazy - No upward mobility - You have to apply to positions if you want to move up or relocate. - They won't hire from within. - Theres no loyalty.

Secure job, good pay and benefits. Work life balance is good.

Cons

Middle management defines "bureaucrat". They do all they can to diminish the efforts of staff and to bask in the glory or their teams success. If you have ideas or contributions that they feel threatened by you will be black balled.
