Pros

Good pay, when there is not a furlough. Better deal when they let you work from home, because why do I have to sit on the computer in a govt office that keeps me on the road 2 hours a day...serious deterioration of work life balance

Cons

Prepare for some micro-management. Some of the supervisors are good and listen to the workers for better ways to get things done, but the senior leaders squash that by bullying those good supervisors to do it the way they think it should be done. By bullying I mean withholding pay and low performance ratings despite the job getting done.
