      Pros

      Worked for a well-run office: Great leaders and teammates, exciting policy projects.

      Cons

      Generally low pay for intensity and importance of the work, but can start higher with an advanced degree, can move up relatively quickly to Legislative Assistant and (eventually) Director, which pay more. Very different org culture from member to member (office to office), so work experience can change dramatically if moving to a different office.
