Work was fast-paced, exciting, and felt extremely consequential.

Cons

Work-life balance is nonexistent. Working late is pretty much mandatory, but the workload waxes and wanes with the legislative calendar. Periods of 100-hr weeks are balanced by very chill times where you can catch up and recharge.
