Pros

Good synergy of team and good in the sense of getting exposure to global business crossed assets. Work life balance ok.

Cons

Not so favorable pay compared across the industry and not so easy to develop skill sets that suits other local institutions

Pros

good benefits and European work ethic is the norm in the US. lots of upward mobility due to turnover. benefits are very generous, but have fallen in the past few years.

Cons

poor IT and research systems - hard to get actual research done. portfolio management views are very traditional, but slowly evolve after other shops lead the way
