      same pay as everywhere else good benefits small labs good attention and access to faculty they are open to ideas for professional development programming

      Pros

      With 25 years in IT, this is my favorite position so far. Every person I have met in IT has been excellent. I love my boss and my bosses boss and respect the CIO, though I haven't worked with her directly. Fair pay. Fair hours. Good benefits. Enough workplace flexibility. Staff size is relatively small, so there is a good variety of interesting things to work on.

      Cons

      "Staff size is relatively small". We still get the important things done however. I did take a pay cut to come here, but it was worth it.
