      Great benefits. Fulfilling work. Great work life balance.

      Cons

      Some departments are very underataffed. 2020 project is far too aggressive causing extreme stress on staffers and faculty. Merced infrastructure is not able to grow with the campus causing big problems with availability of housing, medical services, etc.

      Pros

      Smaller, newer campus affords more opportunities of all types. If you're willing to live in/near Merced and are a decent employee, you'll probably get a job at the University.

      Cons

      University is growing fast. Can seem like you're building the plane while flying it.
